Therapy Session Fees

As an alternative to using insurance, choosing to pay for therapy yourself has a number of benefits. You have more options in choosing a therapist, no formal diagnosis is required, you can be seen more quickly and there is no limit to the number of sessions you can attend. Ultimately, you are in control vs. your insurance company.

The following fees reflect self-pay rates and do not apply to insurance.

Individual Therapy

$200 / 45-min

We understand that life can throw a curveball from time to time. If you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, we will do our best to accommodate your circumstances by providing an opportunity for conducting your appointment via Telehealth, when clinically appropriate.

If you miss your scheduled appointment or cancel with less than 24-hours advanced notice, our policy is to collect a No Show/Late Cancel fee. We will waive (1) one No Show/Late Cancel fee during a six-month period.

Please note that Insurance will not pay for or reimburse for No Show/Late Cancel appointments fees.

Health Insurance (UPDATE 7.12.2022)

As of November 1, 2022, Dr. Dillon will not be renewing her contract with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas and will be considered out of network for all BCBS insurance plans.

Please know that this decision did not come lightly as being part of accessible and affordable healthcare through insurance is important to her as a clinician. Unfortunately, the rates that are reimbursed for behavioral health are not commensurate with the market value of the services provided and, given the base expenses, it is no longer economically feasible. Additionally, BCBS Behavioral Health Provider Customer Service has limited hours and long wait times that negatively impact her availability for providing services to clients.

Dr. Dillon is considered an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans and fees must be paid at the time of service.

Out of Network Options:

Many insurance plans provide coverage reimbursement for partial or full costs of treatment. We encourage you to review your insurance plan to determine what out-of-network behavioral health coverage may be available to you and if prior authorization is required to use those benefits. Please note that not all insurance companies reimburse for out-of network providers.

If you plan to use your insurance, authorization from the insurance company may be required before they will cover therapy fees. If you did not obtain authorization and it is required, you may be responsible for full payment of the fees. Hill Country Anxiety provides all clients with a monthly receipt of payment for services, also called a superbill, that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement of out-of-network services.

If requested, we can provide information on blog posts and other online resources explaining the details of using out-of-network benefits.
